Service Description

Workshop Title: The Parent Hour: Screen Time Without the Battles 📅 Date: Tuesday, 10 November 2026 🕖 Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM (SAST) 💻 Format: Free Online Workshop (Google Meet) 🎓 Hosted by: Online Counsellor Workshop Description Screens are everywhere, and so are the arguments about them. The meltdowns when the tablet gets taken away, the homework that never quite happens, the late nights that turn into tired mornings. It is exhausting for your child, and for you. This free one-hour online workshop gives you a clear, practical understanding of what screens are actually doing, why the battles happen, and what genuinely helps. Each Parent Hour session is a 45 minute practical talk followed by a 15 minute open Q&A, so bring your questions. What You'll Learn: 🧠 Why screens are so hard to put down (it's not just laziness or bad habits) 🔍 How to spot the difference between healthy use and use that needs attention 🛠️ Practical tools and family rules you can use at home straight away 💬 How to talk to your child about screens without it turning into a fight 🚀 When and where to get further support if it's needed Why You Should Attend: ✅ It's completely free. ✅ It's practical, not academic. You'll leave with tools, not theory. ✅ It's online, one hour, in the evening. No traffic, no babysitter needed. ✅ You can ask anything in the Q&A. Who This Workshop Is For: Parents of children of any age Grandparents and caregivers Teachers and anyone who works with children Anyone who wants to understand screen time better Know a parent who would benefit?
